This trip was specially planned for mylilsista for getting good result in her SPM. I’m such a good sista, I know. Waiiittt… no? well no.. thanks mum, for sponsoring🙂
Since we had a lil extra budget and wanted a relaxing break, sigh.. work has really taken its toll on us, we decided on Fairmont Singapore which offers luxury stay and secondly super convenient – next to Raffles city mall, City Hall MRT station and within walking distance to Bugis junction. A 20 min taxi ride from Changi Airport to the hotel cost us around SGD17/18 if I remember correctly.
We reserved two Fairmont room with bookings.com which gave a better rate 2 weeks prior the trip with an average of SGD190 per night excluding 17.7% of service charge and tax. Mydaling took this opportunity to enroll in Fairmont Presidential’s Club which is complimentary to enjoy more benefits.
Check-in was a lil slow. We arrived at 12pm but unfortunately, our room is not ready yet. So after having our luggage tag and send to security room, we went for lunch at Raffles city mall and shop around. But apparently 2 hours is not long enough as only one room is ready. The 2nd room was only ready after 4 hours with few calls to the receptionist…..😦
We was hoping they would upgrade us to South tower (new tower) but Fairmont room is only available in North Tower (old tower)😦 too bad… This is the room that we stayed in for 3 nights.
It’s pretty spacious and the bed is super comfy. Housekeeping is done twice a day.
The tempting minibar but please check the price 😀
I especially like the lightning and wide mirror in the toilet😀 the bathtub though is a lil old.
and this is the perfect view from room 2101. Bad thing is this room is just right outside the elevator. The other room was city view, facing an office building😦
even nicer at night. awww~~~
Since it’s already 4pm by the time we settle everything, we decided to go for a swim at level 8 before heading out for dinner at Clarke Quay.
There isn’t any view from pool, was surrounded by Fairmont old and new tower
A light touch housekeeping at night. It was a pleasant stay for us albeit a lil glitch during check-in. Seriously, the purchase power in Singapore is so much better – don’t convert!! Would definitely love to check out other Fairmont resort hotel if affordable :p since he is a member now🙂
