When it come to nga choy kai, he vote Ipoh lou wong the best but lately he found one in KL which is pretty good to satisfy his crave. He tried the bento set at The Boulevard, Mid Valley and it was tasty enuf to warrant second visit.
New Restaurant Ipoh Chicken Rice has few branches in the Klang valley.
He brought me to the one at Bandar Puteri Puchong.
There are choices of normal chicken or kampung chicken. A whole kampung chicken is priced at RM60 while normal chicken is at RM36 if I remember correctly.
We ordered a combination of roasted chicken + poached chicken for two priced at RM10. The meat that came on a bed of cucumber with little fat was juicy and smooth.
Rice at RM1.60 each are fragrant and not too oily
Bean sprout small at RM2 are indeed shorter and fatter 🙂 similar with the one in Ipoh
Meat ball priced at RM1 each. Slightly bigger than the normal meat ball but at RM1 each, it is overprice plus it was a tad soft for my liking. I like it to be more bouncy and springy.
I don’t mind paying another visit but definitely not for the meat ball 🙂
Total bill was RM24.55 including 1 chrysanthemum, 1 milo ice and 5% gov tax.
