Located at Changkat Bukit Bintang where bar and cafe lined both side of the street, I thought Twenty One is a nice place to chill out but not for dining considering the portion, taste and price. We both concluded that it really doesn’t worth every penny spent except for the alcoholic drinks (buy 1 free 1) during happy hour. We ordered Hoegaarden 0.25l at RM20 to quench our thirst.
The 1st level for dining has cozy ambiance and the service was good. The 2nd level was a bar with balcony for chilling out.
Mydaling lamb shank at RM45 that came with a bed of mash potato was a total letdown. It has the gamey taste and the meat was not soft enough (not the melt in mouth kind) not to mention the size which looks more like a chicken thigh.
The portion of my pan crisped seabass at RM40 served with snow peas, slices of apple salsa and crispy turkey ham was way too small to fill my small tummy. Seriously, not even 50% because they only serves you two slices of fish meat.. The skin was crispy and the meat was fresh but apart from that, there’s really nothing to shout about.
Total bill was RM120.75 inclusive of 10% service charge and 5% government tax.
