There’s this newly opened steamboat restaurant, Fullmoon Hotpot at Bandar Puteri Puchong claiming to be the 1st that offer asam laksa soup for hotpot which ignited my taste buds. I’ve tried tom yam steamboat set, tom yam and clear soup steamboat eat all you can and herbal soup steamboat set but asam laksa steamboat set??
Taking advantage of the opening promotion 🙂
There were three different sauces to go with the pot.. Chili, peanut and satay sauce. I personally likes the peanut sauce which was tasty with a hint of spiciness in it.
As both of us prefer spicy soup base, we ordered asam laksa soup (left) and tom yam (right). Surprisingly, the asam laksa goes very well with the fresh ingredients. The flavorful soup with flaked fish is sourish with a tinge of spiciness – definitely worth trying. Tom yam soup on the other hand taste a lil bland. They’ll need to work on that more..
The hotpot set for 2 pax at RM19.90 (normal price at RM27.80) came with a bed of vegetables. The plate consists of four fresh prawns, two scallops, tofu, variety of balls, golden needle mushrooms, fish slices, crab meat, two eggs, laksa noodles and yee mee.
Not to be missed is of coz my all time favorite pork slice, priced at RM7 but the slices were too small to satisfy my crave.
As for side dishes, we ordered Taiwan sausage priced at RM5 which came with yummy marinated cucumber
and fullmoon spring roll priced at RM6 which was of mediocre. The skin was crunchy but I find the inside a tad too dry..
Total bill was RM45.05 inclusive of 5% government tax, RM3 for sour plum lime juice and RM2 for sugar cane water chestnut.
