Taiwan 2010 : Hualien to Taipei

Here comes the end of our 13 days escapade to Taiwan… We took the train back to Taipei for one last night before flying back to KL… sob~ sob~~

The journey from Haiwan 32 to Hualien station took less than 15 minutes and it costs us NTD230 if I remember correctly. Our train depart at 12:30pm and we reached at 11:50am just to be on the safe side

we have actually collected our ticket on the arrival day. This was also bought online at here and thank god we did that because all ticket were sold out due to new year holiday. i luv well-planned getaway:D

Ticket priced at NTD419 per pax and travel time is approximately 2 hours 38 minutes with only 5 stops and is only applicable to the new Taroko train. So choose the right one when you purchase your ticket.

Quite spacious and very clean bcoz there is a cleaner in the train that will clean the toilet and collect rubbish from time to time.. The only complain is there is no extra compartment for large luggage. The overhead compartment is quite small.

Ordered two bian dan for lunch

Reached Taipei Mai Station after 2 hours 38 minutes and I got story to tell…

Headed straight to hotel <<here>> because we got some serious business to do – refer <<here>> We were contemplating between web check in or counter check in (the officer in KLIA told us counter open 24 hours prior departure time) but after much thought, we decided to try web check in first.

So, the first thing we did is to check with the reception if they have a printer and yes!! they do  *smiles because we need to print out our boarding pass. We don’t want to get another heart attack lo…. speaking of that, we almost got one if we were to head straightaway to Tao Yuan International Airport upon arriving at Taipei Main Station because

How I know??

bcoz we reached there like 3 hours earlier even though we successfully check in through web (kiasu mah, dun wan to overnight at airport lo) and the counter is not open not until at 1:10pm sharp!!! Our flight is at 3:10pm.

Alright back to Taipei, breathed a sigh of relief after the successful web check in. Boarding pass print out – checked. *yeah… big wide smiles

Time for some retail therapy. Thought of going to Wufenpu or Shilin for last minute shopping but too bad it was drizzling so we went to Ximending instead <<here>> but there is nothing much to shop there Spent some time looking for souvenir and off we went for the last meal in Taipei <<here>> and back to the hotel to pack our stuff.

Is time to bid farewell I’m gonna miss u.. no, I’m missing you already!!

Check-out and walked to Guo Guang Terminal for bus to Tao Yuan International Airport. It took only 50 minutes to reach there with few pullover along the way to pick up passengers.

Finally, boarded the plane 737-800… Ouchh, mind the space and the FHM is not provided by MAS kay… dun dream – it costs NTD200

Eeee… so so small and there is no in-flight entertainment lor.. damm boring

Flying high – going back to reality – no more play, no more sightseeing, no more relaxing – work work work!! *arghhhh

The only thing I regretted is I did not shop as much as I wan as if I earn million boz back then I was too stingy… I will next time but all in all, I ENJOYED the trip very very much… Thank you mydaling… muahhh!!! Next, I wan Disneyland *hint *grin

and 2 hours later dinner time!! and to be honest, the food suxxxx….

and there’s a baby crying throughout the 4 hours 50 minutes journey… help!!! I can’t sleep and imagine the one that sit beside him…. *cry as well

Reached KLIA at 8pm, waited a while for the luggage and then took a cab which costs us RM69!!! Why so expensive wan???
