Taiwan is truly a mountainous island especially in Hualien. Totally in luv with it…
A drive down Highway 11 costs NTD2500 and as we go along, Mr. Wong would pullover at some famous spot that has the bestest panoramic view. Among them are Shimen and Dawan. I can’t recall which is which so just be amazed with the breathtaking scenery kay
It was drizzling and mostly covered in mist but still picturesque. I reckon it will be nicer during summer
I will be back!!
Back to the pics, this resembles a tortoise diving into water. get it??
Big rock everywhere…
Hey… a car!!!
See the huge wave? run for your live man!! that’s our tour guide… hahahaaa~~ he advised us not to go to that part for fear we will be swallow by the wave… lol
After that, Mr. Wong drove us somewhere nearby for lunch that serves nice beef noodles. Ohhh!! did I mention before I don’t eat beef? Wuahahahaa~~
So, I ordered minced pork noodles soup that doesn’t taste nice and mydaling ordered beef noodles soup that taste great but he doesn’t enjoy the thick kuey teow. As for the eggs with scallions, nothing to shout about.
We then continue our journey. Up and down the hill we went and all along, there was nothing but scenic views and aboriginal towns. Ohhh, and also a fishing village.
Absolutely mesmerizing….
Elevated view of the water hitting against the boulders.. Arrhhh~~ I miss the sound!!
We had a great time exploring the coastline minus the rain and strong wind.
This marks the end of our half day tour.
Cross the bridge and you’ll be in another county. Mr. Wong dropped us at the bridge head and insisted that we should take a walk pass the old bridge (no photo as it started to drizzle again
) parallel to this which was built century ago to enjoy the surroundings.
We then hopped into the car and Mr.Wong drove us to our next homestay, Haiwan 32. Bcoz of the – a lil isolated location, we stopped by 7-eleven for some drinks and cup noodles.
Next, Haiwan 32…
