continued from here…
This is the mentioned 七星潭 (chishingtan) beach which is well-known for blue and green sea water and round pebbles.
but look at the gloomy sky…
It was raining and the wind is too strong and cold for us to enjoy anymore so we hopped into the car to warm ourselves.
Mr.Wong insisted we should try their onion pancake with egg and so there we went.
Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside filled with aroma of big onion. Onion lovers you sure will love this…
Went to bought some mochi and then to dinner at Hualien city.
BBQ stuff…
This bacon with scallions is nice…
but the pork chop and bbq pork rice are of mediocre. The meat is a tad too dry and hard…
That’s the end of our 1 day tour to Taroko.
Mr.Wong then drove us to Stone house homestay to rest our aching feet. Aunty Liu being the friendly owner greeted and showed us our resting place.
This is our room which costs NTD1200 per night.
The living hall and dining area.
The stairs to 2nd and 3rd floor. If you are bored at night, fear not for Aunty Liu have few activities for you. You can either do stone painting or release sky lantern (kongming lantern) or purchase some fire crackers from them
We were so tired we did not join any but just laze around and then went to bed early for we will be exploring another part of Hualien.. and again we have Mr.Wong as our tour guide.:D
Woke up early for breakfast and to pack our luggage… Ohh ohh~~ did I mention we will be staying in 2 different homestay while in Hualien?? hehehe~~ the latter has amazing pacific ocean view and is a great place to rejuvenate our tired body after 9 day exploring. I’ll show you later…
Back to breakfast, Aunty Liu and her maid prepared few choices and we chose chicken burger
and sandwich.. both nicely done…

The night before, we were contemplating between coast line tour or city tour. We couldn’t make the decision not until the next morning when it rain… Sigh~~ Mr.Wong suggested we tour the Highway 11, also known as Hualien-Taitung Coastal Highway which has breathtaking sea view on one side and mountain view on the other..

Hi,
Thinking about visit Hualien an hour ago. Then, checked internet to look for the homestays.
what I want to explain here is I am so happy because I saw your blog which you write about your trip to Hualien.
Did you arrive Taipei first , and then, you took a train to Hualien or a flight.?
I am interested to the Stone Homestay. It is near to town?
Thanks.
Yes, I arrived Taipei first but I went to Hualien from Kenting by train.
You can travel to Hualien from Taipei by train (Tarako train – fastest)
Stone Homestay is not near to town but the owner is very friendly and I think she won’t mind fetching you there
Mr Wong was recommended by Stone Homestay or found by yourself? =)
Arranged by Aunty Liu from Stone Homestay. We booked the tour package with them.
