continued from here…
It took another 20 minutes for us to reach Guanshan.
It is 498 feet above sea level so expect some hiking but fear not because it only takes less than 3 min to reach the top. This is suppose to be a perfect place to watch sunset because of it heights but it is still drizzling… ahhh!!! So misty….
At this height together with the raindrop, it is too cold to enjoy. The cool breeze successfully sent chills to my bones…. If only I have a cup of hot tea – perfecto!!
Since there is nothing much to do up there, we walked down and adjourned to the last destination – Maobitou, another special scenic area due to a rock formation that resemble a crouching cat.
A 5 minutes hike will bring you to the top. This is the view from the pavilion. Can you spot it??
OK… a bit closer…. there…. see it? Use your imagination…
We are actually at the opposite of Kenting Chateau. Can’t see from this photo though.
Spent around 20 minutes there and that’s all about the half day tour. The journey back to the resort took around 30 minutes and I think I dozed off for a while.
Went back to our room to freshen up and grab our jacket before going out for dinner.
Saw this restaurant along Kenting big road and decided to give it a try. Have previously read some good reviews about it and turned up they didn’t disappoint us – they actually serves good thai cuisine.
From their menu, it is introduce as Malibu south thai-burma style restaurant but according to the owner, some of the cooking ingredients like the amount of spiciness and sourness have been alter to suit Taiwanese as most of them can’t take spicy food.
We ordered fried minced pork priced at NTD240. Spicy and tangy hot – might burn your lips so tell them if you can’t take spicy food.
Myanmar shrimp sauce vegetables at NTD160
Sour and spicy seafood soup at NTD240 for small portion. There are few level of spiciness and we go for the highest one but still not as spicy as those served in Malaysia. Nonetheless, it still taste good…
Fried shrimp pancake at NTD260. Crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside and served with dipping sauce.
The food we ordered is enough for 4 persons – ended up with bloated stomach. Uhhh, so in order to cut down some fat, we strolled the night market for the LAST time before heading back to the hotel to enjoy the LAST night in the resort.
Mydaling woke up just in time the next day to capture the sunrise.
Me – still in deep sleep. Hahahaaa~~~
He then woke me up to see the beautiful yolk
and then went for breakfast
Walked around the resort again for one LAST time
uhhh, I’m missing this now…..
Say bye bye~~~
Familiar or not?? If you have watched Cape No.7, then you know…
this is the corridor
That’s all about Kenting. A great place to rejuvenate and calm your mind. Is time for us to leave as we need to reach Fangliao train station before 11:30pm.
Leaving with a heavy heart – so long then, till we meet again in some other times – hopefully
We are leaving for Hualien. Stay tuned…
Next, Hualien…
