*Updated*
As you read along, you’ll know why I call this a mini travelogue or rather a half complete guide to Taiwan.
All Taiwan related post are categorized under JassEscapade: Taiwan
In the past 13 days, there are up and down, down as in 1st my well-planned itinerary got so messed up bcoz of some delay here and there, 2nd got so stressed up when I can’t find the place that I wanted to go so badly even when I have the map in hand, 3rd have to give up some of the planned places to visit due to time constraint, 4th my shopping spree plan didn’t work out
, 5th I think don’t have already gua, else my down count will be higher than up count.
But overall, we enjoyed the trip very very much especially when we dunno what day and date it is and even time because both of us are not wearing any watch. Total work free, and relaxing for a good 2 weeks apart all the walking which almost made me cry!!!
That’s the fun of it when you travel well-prepared. You’ll get so lost if you don’t do your homework…

What a lovely info for Taiwan, I will be in Taiwan on December 2011 (1st time). I will go to Hualien+Taroko &yehliu. Will it be any problem to find public transport (Bus/Mrt) from taipei (return) since I don’t read/speak chinese.
Which is the best minsu/homestay in Hualien so at night I can explore the city by foot ?
Thanks
Hi Ivan, the best way to travel from Taipei to Hualien and back is by train (Tarako train is the newest and fastest, around 2 hours 15min)
I’m not sure about the best homestay in Hualien city as I only spent one night there. We stayed at Stone house city which we didnt really like but it is within walking distance to town.
